2010 Presidents Report
19.09.2010
1. OD; The issue is going to be dealt with in the Class Rules Sub Committee meeting first week of November to be held somewhere in UK. The chairman for the CRSC is Georg Tallberg who is on ”our side” and is very positive to our proposal and have adopted the essential toughts in our amnedment. I have also pointed out to him that the majority of the world’s 2.4 mR sailors are behind the idea and in WC‐2010 in Hoorn 80 of 82 entries are sailing Norlin MK III and that the majority of the excisting Norlin MK III fleet will match the OD Rule if coming in force, this we have poved by float testing boats and found them, with a few exceptions, matching the hull shape corresponding to 254 kgs boatweight.
Now we can only wait and see!
