Around July 15th,2010, our International Class website went down and the company who was hosting it was not able to be contacted. I had a back up copy from several months ago and installed it on a new server in the USA. At the same time I took on the challenge of developing a new website which I think you will enjoy. The new website allows you to: · Register and build your own personal profile which allows others to see info about your sailing and also allows people to search for you and your contact information if you wish to share it. · Submit your own calendar items. · It will also be easier for our executive committee to send out information as you will be updating your own contact information · It will make the website easier to manage from a layman's point of view. The new platform is easily edited by someone with limited web design experience. It will be easier finding future webmasters · Once registered, you will be able to add calendar items. If you have a regatta schedule you will be able to submit your own dates and info. · The website is now translatable into different languages. With one click you can have the whole website in one of over 30 languages. Look on the upper right of this page and select your language! Please take an opportunity to explore our new site. You may contact me and give suggestions on the “Contact The Class” Button. I would like each of you to register on the website. It is a simple process and will increase the value of our site greatly.
Registering will:
Note: Most all information is available to the general public. However submitting articles, posting in the forum, selling an item and placing your own information, can only be accomplished by registering. Unfortunately, all the components of the old website were not available to install on the new site. Some Data was lost mainly the data from the forum. Once you are logged in you will be able to submit information that is either missing or needs to be posted. You may use the online form to send to me. It will be in the “USER” Menu but the link is only available once you register. Items I would like to see you add information to: Web links: Suppliers you use, a link to your Country’s website, and other sailing links you find useful. Thanks for helping me help us!
