Tønsberg Seilforening is inviting you to the 2.4mR World Championship in Tønsberg July 26th to August 1st 2027.

Tønsberg Seilforening has a long history in 2.4mR sailing. They hosted the world Championship in 2001, and has since then hosted the national championship numerous times. The last one in 2020.

Tønsberg Seilforening is one of Norway’s oldest and most respected sailing clubs, located in the historic coastal town of Tønsberg on the western shore of the Oslofjord. The club is based at Fjærholmen, just outside the town center, providing direct access to some of Norway’s finest sailing waters. The number of good sailing areas close by means that they have the possibility to move the racing course according to wind and wave conditions, to get optimal sailing conditions during the world championship.

The sailing club also has a brand new and spacious club house finished this year.

Visiting sailors will have a lot of possibilities when it comes to accommodation. It is possibly to park motor homes on the parking lot right next to the sailing club. Tønsberg Seilforening also has a big camping site as it´s closest neighbour. They have both rental cottages and big spaces for tents.

Tønsberg Seilforening has a lot of contacts who rent out private cottages and apartments., and for those who prefer hotels, Tønsberg city centre is only 15 minutes away by car. Godd hotels includes Hotell klubben and Thon Hotel Tønsberg Brygge.
